The Pelican Rapids Library Foundation is a 501©3 non–profit organization that was established in 2006. It now manages more than $200,000 in assets across three distinct endowments: Technology, Materials and Building/Infrastructure. Contributions from individuals and corporations are invested to accumulate and generate investment income to support library growth and future needs. A six member Board of Directors meets quarterly to conduct business. An Annual Meeting to elect officers is held in February.

To develop and grow a permanent foundation that enriches the resources and enhances and expands the potential of the Pelican Rapids Public Library.

To give individuals and corporations the opportunity to donate to a permanent community endowment fund in support of a vibrant and growing library.

To encourage and assist prospective donors in understanding the importance of enriching our community library and improving the lives of all those who live here.

To provide supplemental income that supports current library program requirements, the Foundation, and the Pelican Rapids Library.

A planned and cooperative approach to future library innovations and growth and the prudent stewardship of our donors’ invested funds.
